Twinings Tea Tasting
On Tuesday 3rd June, our very lucky Year 2 children were treated to a special visit from Twining’s master blending team, Izzy Guymer and Matt Twining. We were able to show off all of our amazing tea knowledge to them and they were very impressed! They taught us how tea is produced and they showed us how they ‘slurp’. We got to taste their sparkling tea range (which was super yummy!) and we got to make our very own, unique herbal tea blends. Some of the ingredients the children could choose from included verbena, lemongrass, rosehip, chamomile and orange flower.
King's Gate Primary School goes chick mad!
On Monday 12th May, The Living Eggs Experience began at King's Gate Primary School. 11 eggs were delivered to us along with an incubator, brooder box, bedding and food. The first chick hatched on Tuesday 13th May, followed closely behind by 9 other chicks on Wednesday and Thursday. The final chick hatched on Friday. As the chicks have grown over the last three weeks, we have seen many changes! They also need more space now to allow them to practise flapping their wings and strengthen their legs. The classes have named the chicks as Nugget, Waffle, Chickalita, Rex, Peep, Banana, Buttercup, Popcorn, Blossom and Henrietta.
