Year 5's trip to the Roman Baths

On Monday 18th November, Year 5 travelled to Bath to explore the Roman Baths. We have been learning about the Romans since September. While there, we walked around the site, explored the different rooms, listened to key facts and some of us even tried the (clean) water! In the afternoon, we practised archaeology skills, found key stones and practised constructing some of the Roman inventions. Furthermore, we wore togas, created mosaics and touched real-life archaeological finds.

Here are some of the pictures of our trip!

Year 5's flatbreads

Year 5 have made flatbreads using wholemeal flour and seasonal British fruit and vegetables!

Year 5's Trip to the Living Rainforest

Year 5 travelled to the Living Rainforest in Newbury. Whilst there, we explored the rainforest and were taken on a guided tour to look more closely at the animals and plants that live in tropical rainforests. Some of our biggest highlights were meeting Harry the armadillo and learning how poisonous dart frogs become poisonous!
